La Fundación Los Niños de María, Inc., is making efforts to improve the quality of children's lives and their families by having a program that includes activities in which our young students can participate and accumulate hours of community services to complete their studies.
Community service, as the name implies, is a volunteer job that supports non-profit entities like ours, Fundacion Los Niños de Maria, Inc. is always looking to benefit and serve the community. No salaries are paid; work is done for causes and people in need. And above all, it is not "free labor," it is detachment and genuine support that makes it possible to carry out a project that will improve the lives of many people. Solidarity and vocation of service.
The timely hands of our young people in organizing the events of The Foundation are of vital importance both for the success of such events and for achieving part of those points or credit necessary for graduation. They help, helping.
Those who feel called to participate in our events, and volunteer, we have a list of activities in which you can be of service. (See below):
-organizing and participating in our social cultural humanitarian events such as "Chiquita Bonita" and "Señorita Verano" -sort, organize and classify donated items such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, toys, food, etc. -sorting and packing articles collected by the Foundation and prepare them to be sent to different countries -distribution of food among our homeless -pick up donations at different points in the DMV community -pack and distribute "food baskets" among low income families in the DMV community -participate in promoting our work, volunteering at our information booths setup during local festivals
